A particle of mass $m$ is placed at a distance $r$ from the centre of a smooth turntable which rotates with constant angular velocity $\omega$. The particle is given a velocity $v$ with respect to the table in a direction perpendicular to the radial direction. What is the direction and magnitude of the inertial force on the particle?
