PHYS 30101 Applications of quantum physics

Electron g-factor

Experiment:  g/2 = 1.001 159 652 180 73 (28)
Theory: g/2 = 1.001 159 652 173 (9)

The numbers in brackets indicate the uncertainties in the last figures. The largest source of uncertainty in the theoretical result is the fine-structure constant, which is measured in other (much less accurate) experiments.
